1965 Plymouth A 990 HEMI Belvedere
Plymouth A 990 HEMI Belvedere . Lou Vignogna's #22
Mostly original car , owned and campaigned by Louis Vignogna since 1981, does not have original engine block, heads, trans, or rear end housing. This is a useable running race car, This is a factory purpose built race car and is still used as one. This car is one of the nicest unrestored a 990 cars left in existence. The car retains the original corning glass, lightweight door hinges, window regulators and doors, all light weight body panels brackets hardware and such, original seats door panels and headliner, original battery tray and ,most of the original wiring. I have the original intake, valve covers, carbs, linkage, and air horns to go with this car,
Race car upgrades include a .065over bore nhra legal super stock race hemi engine, lightweight 727 race automatic trans, ati race 8" torque converter, 4 link rear suspension with Dana rear 5.57 gears, magnaflow fuel system, full msd race ignition system, 4 wheel disc brakes with duel rear calipers, stahl headers, legal certified to 8.50 chromoly roll cage.
This car has a very long racing heritage, it was originally purchased by Smokey Cerrone, it was then raced by various people including Steve Lapointe who my father purchased the car from in 1979. My father has raced the car since 1981 in ss/ca he held many nhra and ihra national records, won national and divisional titles with this car including the Molson grand nationals in Canada.
It is time for me to move on I am selling our family collection of factory s/s mopar race cars, also listed on this site and available for purchase Is our 1964 322 hardtop belvedere ss/ba 426 hemi aluminum nose race car, and my 1962 dodge dart 413 ci max wedge station wagon.
All three of these nostalgic mopar race cars are in excellent condition and have various spare parts and pieces that come with them, I would love to sell the three cars to a collector as a package which would be considerably less than the individual asking price of each car. All collectors searching out these types of nostalgia racing cars will not find a nicer collection of team race cars that are still together with the original owner. Collections like this just do not exist anymore.
Asking price $125,000.00 for the 1965 a 990 belvedere, negotiable, all offers will be considered.
I will sell out of USA, and help with packing cars for shipping, I will not help with any shipping costs, shipping within the 50 states is possible for a fee.
