1948 Ford Custom Convertible
Ford Custom Convertible. This car was a complete, frame off restoration/customization. It has 3200 miles on it since it was completed. The car has a clear Wisconsin title.
Drivetrain is a rebuilt 401 cu in Buick nailhead engine with a 700R4 automatic transmission, Lokar shifter, ad a Ford 9" rear end. Engine has Kenne Bell pistons, lifters and cam and is bored .030 over. It has dual exhaust.
The car has Heidt's "Super Ride II" coil over front suspension with forged 2" drop spindles. The rear suspension is a Chassis engineering leaf spring kit. It has power steering and power brakes-disc in the front. The underside of the car has been detailed wirh a very nice black satin finish.
Interior has stock seats that have been recovered in white leather. It has a custom dash with Stewart Warner gauges and Ron Francis wiring. The car has Vintage air and heat along with power door solenoids, power trunk, power cowl vent, and tilt steering wheel.
The body is all steel. Tear fenders, front fenders and grille have all been welded and fitted extremely well. The grille is a 1947 Oldsmobile-see the pictures. Door handles are shaved and both the headlights and taillights are frenched in. Paint is 1994 Porsche Iris Blue metallic and is excellent. Trim is all new chrome and stainless. The top has been chopped 2.5" and is power. Tires are BF Goodrich 215-70R-15 wide whites.
